Kaery Concealed is hosting the Active Self Protection Team for this Exciting One-Day Live Fire Course
Follow this link to the Active Self Protection website to register. Don’t delay as this course sold out quickly when we hosted it in 2020. While in Spokane, the ASP team will be teaching their Lessons Learned from 30,000 Gun Fights Seminar ($40/person) on Thursday, February 25th at 6pm.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
1) Evidence Based Handgun skills needed to Survive the Fight
2) What type of deadly threat situations are you most likely to face in church security and how that is wildly different from a regular CCW scenario
3)Gear and Skills required
4) Stress testing what you know and use and finding out if it is suitable for the task
5) Critical skills unique to church and large crowd situations
The 1 day Evidence Based Pistol class, offered on Friday and again on Sunday, focuses on working on the skills needed to survive a defensive encounter . This is an 8-hour live fire class. Please use the gear you carry daily. The round count for this class is 300 – 350 rounds as we have some open practice time where you may practice additional shots as time permits.
Please note unsafe holsters (including the popular Serpa holster) are not allowed on the line in either class. If you have questions about your holster or gun, please contact the host. You will need at least two magazines, along with eye and ear protection. We encourage you to dressp[ close to how you carry as possible, with the understanding that you are going to be on the range training all day. You need to be safe and comfortable. Make sure you have a brimmed hat and clothing that will adequately keep hot brass away from your skin.
You will also need plans to keep yourself properly hydrated. If we are outdoors, dress accordingly and consider layers and rain gear. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a camp chair for break times.
It is always good to consider the various tools and items you need to keep your gun running, batteries for electronic hearing protection, etc.
There is a $25.00 range fee, each day, for the live fire classes that must be paid prior to class start, please bring cash as this is paid directly to the range.
UPON ARRIVAL CHECK IN WITH STAFF. While you are welcome to load mags to your heart’s content before class begins, DO NOT UNCASE OR UNHOLSTER GUNS PRIOR TO CLASS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO DO SO BY STAFF. NO GUNS SHOULD BE TOUCHED EVER BEHIND THE FIRING LINE.
