ACTIVE SELF PROTECTION INSTRUCTOR IN-PERSON TRAINING IN SIOUX FALLS, SD

 

Kaery is one of the trainers for theActive Self Protection Instructor Certification Course (ASPIC).  The majority of the instructor certification program is conducted via distance learning with weekly video training sessions.  During each ASPIC Cohort, instructor candidates meet for three day of intense, in-person training and evaluation with the Active Self Protection team.  Kaery was an instructor candidate in the first. ASPIC Cohort, graduating from the program in July 2020, and she joined the ASP Training Department as a coordinator in the summer of 2021.  With three ASPIC cohorts each year, Kaery gets to go to Sioux Falls for each cohort’s in-person training.  It’s a job that Kaery can’t believe she gets paid to do!

Kaery has so much fun with Team ASP and the instructor candidates that her batteries run low sometimes (airports are great places for naps).

Join evidence based defensive trainer, John Correia, on the Active Self Protection YouTube channel with new content added everyday.  On the channel, Mr. John narrates real life surveillance video of defense encounters for lessons learned so responsible citizens can learn to cover their attitude, skills, and plan to keep them and their family safe.  Most of the encounters discussed are those involving civilians — watch and learn what really happens in a defense encounter — what really goes down in armed robberies, muggings, stabbings, car jackings, and home invasions so you can train with knowledge in order to protect yourself and your loved ones.
