SURE Shots is a follow-up course for individuals that have completed 1st Shots – Beginner Pistol Course with Kaery Concealed.

SURE Shots picks up right where 1st Shots ends and moves onto the pistol range where students have an opportunity to handle, shoot, and evaluate 10 to 15 different handguns to determine their best option using an objective matrix developed by Kaery Concealed. The ability to objectively evaluate each handgun based on sound, relevant criteria takes the guess work out of picking a gun saving you time and money.

Utilizing our expertly developed, objective evaluation criteria, students will learn how to safely handle and evaluate a variety of handguns and learn how to determine which one(s) will work best and will best meet their needs.

Until students let us know that they’re comfortable holding the gun by themselves, all shooting is done one-on-one and with the instructor’s hands supporting the gun and the shooter.

Instructors work one-on-one with each student to physically and emotionally support them as they develop safe gun handling skills and confidence in their shooting abilities.

This course will give you the information you need to make an informed choice so you don’t have to rely on the opinion of others — you’ll be able to rely on yourself and your knowledge to know which handgun best meets your needs.

Over the past 13 years, I’ve learned that there are two things women should learn from other women:  how to nurse a baby, and how to shoot a gun.  Be prepared to be hugged, encouraged, and challenged by our all-woman instruction team (don’t worry, if you’re not the hugging type we can high-five!).

There are two registration options for this course.  With option #1 the student brings their own ammunition to use during the class (approx. 150 – 200 rounds).  With option #2 we provide the ammunition for the student to use during the class.

1st Shots–Beginner Handgun

WHAT TO BRING:
snacks + drinks for yourself (there’s no vending onsite, so please bring some nourishment to keep going)
notebook and writing utensil – if you’re the note-taking type
comfort items – feel free to bring anything you need to be comfortable
if you have a handgun that you purchased for yourself or someone purchased for you, you’re welcome to bring it to your course along with ammunition for that gun (we’ll make sure to set aside time to work with you one-on-one to help you gain confidence with your own handgun)
