COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Would it be advantageous to you to have the knowledge, skills, and plan to reliably make a precision shot with any pistol during a critical incident?  If the answer is yes, please join us for this unique course designed to help you discover your roadmap to a reliable precision shot on demand.  Discover your brain’s most challenging shooting-related hurdles and the most effective options to address them, determine your precision capabilities (& develop confidence in them), learn to avoid the over-trying trap, explore shot calling and performance enhancement imagery, discover your 100% no fail precision distance, understanding internal vs external focus of attention, practice several on-demand emotional regulation strategies to see what best works for you, and the areas you need to control for prevailing in the aftermath of a critical incident.  This course also includes a special classroom session where Kaery will share some of the gut wrenching lessons she’s learned while working as a consulting specialist and expert witness during uses of force court cases.  And she’ll share the use of force flow chart she developed for analyzing uses of force.  IMPORTANT:  The course fee includes the $20 per day per shooter range fee–we do this as a courtesy so you’ll have one less thing on your list.

 

WHAT TO BRING:

• a quality, recently lubricated pistol (a backup gun isn’t a bad idea–but not required)
• enough magazines/pouches/pockets to complete 35 to 40 rounds of fire when you come to the line
• good quality, safe Kydex holster specifically designed for your pistol model
• 350 to 400 rounds of quality ammunition for your pistol
• eye and ear protection
• if running a pistol mounted optic please bring the adjustment tool for your optic (and the instructions if you’re unfamiliar with the controls)
• 10 to 20 rounds of your defensive ammunition if you’re a CCWer (to explore where your defensive ammo hits in relation to your practice ammo)
• sustenance & hydration to keep you going all day 😁
• anything you need to be comfy outdoors (chair, sunscreen, bug-be-gone, etc.) there are tables & benches in the shooting bays at Cohutta Pines
• clothing and footwear to keep you comfy–we’ll train rain or shine
• note taking material

LEAD TRAINER, KAERY DUDENHOFER:
Kaery Dudenhofer is a full-time firearm and self-protection trainer from the Pacific Northwest.  She has trained under some of the most respected and recognized leaders in the self-defense training community to guide responsible citizens through the complex legal, moral, and social issues concerning the use of force in self protection as well as help citizens learn to select, safely store, integrate, and utilize both less-lethal and lethal life-saving tools.  In addition to teaching responsible citizens to protect themselves and those they love, Kaery also works as a court approved expert witness and consulting specialist for civilian defensive uses of force.  Kaery and her husband Eric have been married for 30 years and are the grateful (and often exhausted) parents of 7 kiddos.  Away from the range and classroom Kaery enjoys time with her family — conquering the laundry pile, cooking for 5 teenagers, glamping, reading, reviewing notes from previously attended training courses, and just about anything involving the lake.
